8.50 a.m. departure by plane from Tires. 10 a.m. Arrival in Covilhã. Trip in 4x4 vehicle to the mountain area of Serra da Gardunha where we can watch and -- who knows -- maybe participate in the cherry picking activities. We will also have the chance to watch craftsmen making baskets in one of the mountain villages. 12.30 p.m. Lunch in the town of Fundão. After lunch, we will continue our tour. 4.30 p.m. Departure from Covilhã. Jeep tours: All vehicles are driven by experienced guides who know the region; all vehicles are equipped with first aid kits, fire extinguishers and radio with dedicated frequency given by Portuguese authority Anacom; We suggest that participants wear comfortable clothes and shoes and bring a jacket.
